Naturparl Fruit Hill Country "Natural Park of the Year 2009"
Opening April 30, 2009

Location - in the Upper Austrian Alpine foothills between catfish and Eferding
Surface acres of 2629, mostly consisting of rutschungsgefährdetem Schliergebiet, so is the high density of fruit tree populations by imenser significance for slope stabilization. Also, the combination of trees and meadows habitat for a very wide variety of animal species. Already rare or endangered insects and birds rely on this ecological niche.
The aim of this Natural Park is to safeguard the natural environment, with its orchards, rows and avenues through sustainable use in its variety and beauty and to preserve the cultural landscape shaped by centuries.

Farmed in Fraham / "Eferdinger Becken" e.g. the Raab family, their organic farm with vegetables and bioenergy, and since 2005, this family also operates an oil mill with the production of biologically high-quality vegetable oils made from local crops.
